As usual we had excellent service from Amazon with the clock arriving within a week after the order had been placed. We love the clock as it has quite a striking face to it and a brass mechanism. It was packed really well for the shipment and was easily assembled with just having to attatch the pendulum and the driving weight. Once on the wall we were so surprised at how accurately it kept time having to adjust it only once. This was very easy to do.My husband and I felt that we had treated ourselves to something really special. It strikes on the hour with effortless resonance!A big thank you to Amazon because it was the only online organisation where we could buy the type of clock that we wanted. An excellent buy!!

ps. We have many types of clocks but we must count this as being one of our favourites.
I am a clock collector and this one caught my eye in a jewelers shop a couple of years ago and thought, interesting! that one was sold and never reappeared, then seaching through Amazon's clock section looking for a Christmas present for a family friend there it was, I read the review that was there already and they seemed to like the clock so I bought it as my own Christmas gift, it is made with a heavy metal case which supports the mechanism effortlessly, when you open the box all the parts are in expanded polystyrene packing and secured in plastic bags, the clock, pendulumn, weight have the look of an older device that gives an impression 19th century manufacture, setting up is a simple affair, beware however that clocks of this nature need to be balanced 90o to the wall and the pendulumn must swing in the narrow margin set for it, otherwise it will stop. Other than that it needs no adjustment whilst running as this appears to be set at the factory and the bell chime on the hour is pleasant to the ear.
Overall a precise clock and well built without frills just gloss black and brass.
